Hiedanrannan Kehitys Oy Is at the Service of the Growing City of Tampere
Hiedanrannan Kehitys Oy is a limited liability company owned entirely by the City of Tampere, operating on market terms, and a public procurement unit complying with the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts. Our finances are based on income from plot sales and other profits from real estate business operations.
We own the land and buildings in the Hiedanranta area, and our task is to develop them. The areas of the manor and the future wellbeing centre are still owned by the City of Tampere. We engage in close contact with the City of Tampere’s Planning Department, Hiedanranta’s development programme and landowners.
Cooperation Contract as a Signpost
Through a cooperation contract with the city, the company commits to developing the areas it owns in accordance with the principles of Hiedanranta’s development programme, master plan and the City of Tampere’s housing policy. The company commits to building infrastructure and public areas in Hiedanranta and handing them over to the city as contractual compensation for creating the master plan.
In the future, Hiedanranta will remain a development environment and cooperation platform for several projects and experiments related to smart and sustainable urban development. Arts, culture and architecture are and will be part of the area. The City of Tampere and the company commit to promoting this together and individually.
